# Apply a Brand Kit

> Pass brand_kit_id to the HeyGen Video Agent so generated videos use your colors, fonts, and logo, re-brand an interactive session mid-conversation, and combine a kit with a style.

Pass `brand_kit_id` when you create a [Video Agent](https://heygen-1fa696a7.mintlify.site/docs/video-agent.md) session. It works in both `generate` and `chat` modes.

The kit shapes what you see; a [brand glossary](https://heygen-1fa696a7.mintlify.site/docs/brand-glossary.md) on the same request shapes what you hear.

## Re-brand a session

In an [interactive session](https://heygen-1fa696a7.mintlify.site/docs/interactive-sessions.md), `brand_kit_id` is also accepted on each [follow-up message](https://heygen-1fa696a7.mintlify.site/reference/send-message-or-request-revision.md), so you can re-brand without starting over. This suits producing the same video for several brands or sub-brands. The glossary stays the one set when the session was created.

## Combine with a style

`brand_kit_id` and `style_id` compose: a [style](https://heygen-1fa696a7.mintlify.site/docs/styles-and-references.md) picks the layout, pacing, and aesthetic, and the brand kit makes that look yours.

## Studio and Templates

Video Agent is the endpoint that takes `brand_kit_id`. For a [Studio](https://heygen-1fa696a7.mintlify.site/studio-videos.md) or [Template](https://heygen-1fa696a7.mintlify.site/templates.md) video, build the look into the composition or the template, and use a glossary for the audio.

An unknown or inaccessible `brand_kit_id` is rejected with `400 invalid_parameter` when the request is made, so a bad ID costs nothing. Brand kits are workspace-scoped: if an ID you know exists is rejected, use an API key from the workspace that owns the kit.
